Galle Fort
Built-in the 1500s by the Portuguese and extensively fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century, this architectural and history-packed wonder has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Packed with museums, historical sights and its ability to transport you back in time makes it a must-do activity down south - a guided tour of the Fort is something that you shouldn’t miss.

Flag Rock
Located at the southernmost end of the Fort, this is one of the most popular places to catch a sunset in Galle. You can find local divers leaping into the water from the rocks as well.
Japanese Peace Pagoda
Sitting on top of Rumassalla Hill, overlooking the ocean, this temple is the epitome of purity and serenity.


Jungle Beach
Located between Galle and Unawatuna, this secluded beach is a great way of soaking up the rays, while hydrating with some drinks at the cafes dotting the shore.
